October: Students of the Month
Easton Hylton – Whitko Jr/Sr School – Sr High Nominee
Easton finds solutions instead of relying on excuses. He is productive during class time and welcomes others to work with him. He has a great attitude, works well with classmates, and gets his work done, showing much growth from last year. Easton was nominated by Teacher, Kenny Miller.
Carle Sroufe – Whitko Jr/Sr School - Jr High Nominee
Carle is an outstanding student. She is very kind and courteous to other students and does excellent work. Carle was nominated by Teacher, Andy Layman.
Kate Mohr– South Whitley Elementary School
Kate is a very kind and respectful fourth grader. She is an ambassador for our school and models what “Doing the Right Thing” and “Treating People Right” should look like through her actions and conversations. She sets a great example to other students in our school by showing her respect to teachers, staff, and other students, whether in our classroom or in the hallway, and always with a smile. She is eager to learn, kind to share, and ready to be a leader. We are proud to have Kate Mohr representing our classroom and fourth grade as South Whitley Elementary Student of the Month. Kate was nominated by Teacher, Jane Trump.
Teyah Floyd – Pierceton Elementary School
Teyah is a very conscientious student. She always strives to do her best on all work and often does extra work for practice. She participates thoughtfully and often during class discussions and activities. She displays excellent behavior at all times. She is respectful to peers and adults and is a role model for other students. She is very responsible and offers to help peers and adults. She does all this sweetly, quietly and modestly with a constant smile on her face! Teyah was nominated by Teacher, Tasha Kinney.
