Welcome to Whitko High School
We Are The Wildcats
In the heart of South Whitley, Indiana off of HWY 14, you'll find Whitko High School. WHS is centrally located for families traveling from Silver Lake, Warsaw, Huntington and Fort Wayne, and is perfect for both local residents as well as those who are looking for a great school in route to their daily commute! South Whitley is well known for their contributions to the agricultural community, but visitors will also find local restaraunts, catering, general stores, and a new local coffee shop! Visitors can also enjoy a trip to the South Whitley Public Library, local parks or even one of the many local churches.
WHS is the only school in Whitley County to receive the coveted "A-rating" from the Department of Education 2 years in a row! Our staff maintain a healthy academic commitment to the student body in the classroom in both practice and application, and our students receive the very best of 1-to-1 technology as well as student-to-instructor ratios. Whitko students thrive in settings that produce high achievements and that is why WHS was honored by the state of Indiana for its achievements in the Advanced Placement programming in 2017.
WHS is the home of the 2016 Archery World Champion Title Holder, West Point Military Academy Recruits, a Jr. ROTC Scholarship Recipient, and a 2016 Division 1 Athletic Scholarship Recipient. At WHS, academics, athletics and the local community are celebrated through what has commonly become known as Whitko Pride.
